Please be at the club by 10:45.

Brief Overview

The Rugby over the past month has continued to thrive. The 3rds getting big numbers to training and competing well in their league. The 2nds had a tough day at Yatton 1sts but gained solid win over local rivals Gordano. The firsts are undefeated in league action and managed to secure a place in the last 16 of the national cup by beating Old Bristolians. They now entertain Paignton at home 31st January 2026. The Ravennas Ladies continue to train and build their team, and the Silver Ravens walking rugby go from strength to strength with a great day up in Dursley. Since the last newsletter some of the clubs Touch rugby squad have had their international debut playing for their respected age groups, the Ladies Touch team won the Blundells Community tournament in Devon and have reached the Southwest Saxon region tournament finals this weekend, well done to them. The junior section is building nicely as well with all age groups from U5s to U16s playing rugby on Sunday mornings.

We are also looking forward to working with Switch Rugby (Matt Shepherd & Gary Townsend) as they come to support the development of our junior coaches. Director of rugby Tony Hill says ‘The junior age groups are a huge priority for our club. With so many clubs struggling for playing numbers we believe bringing former Bristol Bears Academy manager to support our junior coaches will ensure a promising future for N&BRFC’.

Club House Update

As the nights have drawn in, we are updating the club carpark lighting which should be completed in the next few weeks.

Plans are moving forward to upgrade the club Kiosk so we can offer more food during weekend games on both Saturday & Sunday.

The Club Kiosk is now offering alcoholic cans of Lager, Cider & Ale during games to save going upstairs to the bar.

The Club Uplift project to secure us a much-needed lift is still in full swing and a massive thanks to everyone helping move towards this project becoming a reality next year.
