Annual General Meeting - Wednesday 25 June
Nailsea & Backwell RFC Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 25th June 2025 at 7.30pm at the club, all members welcome. All members should have received an email announcing the Annual General Meeting and regarding any nominations for the Club Committee. If you haven’t received this email, please check your spam folder. If you have not received this email, please contact the Club Secretary. (secretary@nailseabackwellrfc.co.uk) The AGM agenda will be sent out in due course to all members. The next club committee meeting is On Monday 12th May at 7:30pm as normal if anyone wishes to attend the meeting, please let any of the committee know.
Club Membership Cards
The new membership cards system has gone live, you can be now collect your card from the bar and can be used for discount on club standard prices, if you are a new club member you need to register on GMS the RFU website before you can get your new card, (the bar staff will ask for it ). If you don’t have your card, it will be standard prices. Cards need to be handed to staff when ordering drinks at the start of ordering. There maybe the odd glitch with any new system, any concerns please ask.

U15s
Thursday 1st May saw our U15s take on Clifton in the Combination Plate Final, the lads put in a valiant effort but were beaten by Clifton, we are very proud of their achievement.
U18s
Bank Holiday weekend saw the Colts come runners up in the Bowl Final whilst on tour in Paignton, the Colts have done us proud this season getting together against all the odds to play some cracking rugby.
U12s
Sunday 4th May saw the Ravens nest alive with energy as the U12s were hosts to Nottingham Casuals (on tour!) and Royal Wooten Bassett RFC for a sun-soaked morning of touch rugby due to the unseasonable dry ground conditions, the switch to touch rugby didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits with brought out incredible teamwork from all sides and some great play. The buzz continued off the pitch a fantastic BBQ, thanks to all who helped
Upcoming Events
Saturday 17th May
Charity Rugby Match with Nailsea & Backwell vs Fire Fighters in aid of Sands Charity. Kick off 1.30pm, the bar will be open and BBQ food for sale, please come down and support and raise money for this worthy cause.
It's A Knockout
Saturday 21st June
It’s a Knockout now has about 12 teams entered, we still have a space for a few more, please consider putting a team in you wont regret it but your sides will with laughing at the fun of it. Bar will be open with BBQ food for sale, the Fire Service are bringing an engine down so lots to do for your supporters.
