N&B Under 14's 32 -5 Hornets Under 14's
With a few players unavailable, N&B started their Somerset Cup campaign with a depleted squad against Weston Hornets.
Nailsea opened the scoring with a well-rehearsed new move involving all players which resulted in Number 8, George Harris, crossing the Hornet’s line. The Nailsea Forwards worked tirelessly at the rucks which saw them rewarded, with new recruit, Cam Coates scoring his first try in a Ravens shirt.
Hornets were unable to reply to the energetic Nailsea team and Nailsea scored a further two tries courtesy of Connor Mobbs and Charlie Thornton.
Even though Nailsea were in control of the game they let their discipline slip and Hornets capitalised to score in the corner.
Nailsea dug deep though, and showed their character by scoring a further two tries, with strong running from both Harry Tiernan and Harry Blackburn.
With a final score of 32 - 5 the young Ravens now progress to the next round of the Somerset Cup with their opponents yet to be announced.
Special mention must go to the relentless work rate of Charlie Thornton and Abe Wright throughout the match.
