Sunday the 26th March saw Nailsea & Backwell attend the Country Wide U10s Festival held at Winscombe RFC.

Once again, the team do not cease to amaze the coaches as they were pushed hard and they stood up to the test. There was moments of sheer brilliance; the work rate, defensive line speed and team play was commendable. Many coaches and parents agreed it’s the best rugby they’ve played to date.

However it was a tough, cold day with very muddy conditions underfoot and with five matches back to back there were moments of tiredness. One thing the coaches identified to work on is maintaining the attacking line, and staying focused on the task in hand, especially between breaks in play.

But, when all is said and done we witnessed a great festival atmosphere and a great mornings rugby. Rob Suik, Winscombe U10's Coach and festival organiser said "The rugby I saw was a credit to the coaches and it is really nice to see rugby being played in the true spirit of the game. I want to congratulate to all the players on todays performances, they really were a credit to themselves and the clubs".

Well done to you young Ravens! You have done the club proud!
