Also, here is the match report for last weeks game against Hornets.
NAILSEA TOUCH 4-8 HORNETS
Nailsea Touch started their play-off campaign, and bid for the title, with a tough match up against a disciplined Hornets side. The sides faced each other in a well battled 6-3 defeat in the regular season.
Nailsea had already secured their highest league finish of 4th overall, beating their previous best of 5th, and now had a chance in the play-offs to further secure this position.
It was a tough start against a clearly well-drilled side as Hornets quickly put up two scores in the opening minutes, not too dissimilar from their previous encounter.
Nailsea did respond with one of their own as on loan player, Niamh, finished a nice passing move to score in the corner.
The rest of the half was dominated by Hornets, with only a score from Bruce Kirby, who hit a beautiful cut line off Adam Weavers, breaking up the scoring frenzy from the opposition.
Nailsea came out with more fire in the second half and put up a much more compact, disciplined defence performance and only some well thought out moves undid their tight defence.
Toby Lindley finished clinically in the corner following a great drive from Nailsea, further highlighting how well Nailsea's attack worked with great structure.
In the final minute of the match, Nailsea Touch worked a great wrap move which manipulated the Hornets defence to open the middle which allowed Tony Rowles to find Adam Weavers in space to finalise the score at 8-4.
Good luck tonight you Ravens!
