Nailsea & Backwell Rugby Football Club is pleased to announce the arrival of new Bristol Bears signing and former Gloucester Rugby prop Yann Thomas as Forwards Coach. Yann joins the club he played for as a junior to help our senior side continue to progress. The young squad impressed again last season but are looking to find more consistency up front. Yann teams up with Head Coach Tony Hill who said “We’re all really pleased Yann has agreed to join us. He’s a Premiership player with plenty of coaching experience which will be invaluable to us. Coupled with the fact he has played junior rugby at Nailsea means it’s a great fit all round”.
Nailsea also announced new 1st XV Captain, Luke Sharp. Sharp takes over from Jamie Sullivan who has led the club superbly and continues to play and support Luke.
Luke and the players invite anyone interested in playing rugby to West End Park every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm throughout July and August for Pre-season training.
