Yatton RFC Under 12’s hosted Nailsea & Backwell in a fiercely competitive local derby.
Yatton started strongly with a try coming from the kick off which was gathered by the full back and taken all the way for the first score. This seemed to rouse Nailsea & Backwell and they managed to slow the ball down and stop the fast Yatton back line from getting good possession.
The Nailsea & Backwell forwards slowly took charge and were giving their backs quick ball, but they failed to score after knocking on and being held up over the Yatton try line.
Nailsea & Backwell finally started to score some tries and the final score was 6-4 in favour of Nailsea & Backwell. This was a real arm wrestle of a game with good rugby played by both sides and was a delight for spectators and parents. Tries for Nailsea & Backwell came from George B and George W.
