Bristol Harlequins 12 Nailsea & Backwell 26
The visitors started strongly and it was no surprise when Centre, Ryan Love, burst through the defence to touch down after seven minutes, with Jamie Elswood striking the ball well to add the extras.
Although Harlequins are at the bottom of the league there is a lot of experience in the side and they used this to frustrate Nailsea. Following a line out five metres from the Nailsea try line, Quins managed to wrestle the ball over for a try which was duly converted. The scrappy half ended with honours even on the scoreboard.
The second half was dominated by Nailsea with the scrum at last getting on top and Number 8, Ryan Barrow, scoring wide out.
Following a clean break by Rob Baker, who when stopped, managed to slip the ball to the supporting Sam Cook to score with Jamie Elswood converting. Nailsea went over the line twice more but were adjudged to have knocked on, before Ben Perfect picked up a loose ball from a ruck and ran through a large gap in the defence to touch down under the posts for the bonus point, giving Jamie Elswood a simple kick.
In the last few minutes, with the visitors reduced to 13 men following yellow cards, Harlequins used there numerical advantage to get the ball wide to finish the scoring.
This was an improved performance from the Ravens with several players still missing.
