Nailsea & Backwell welcomed near neighbours Yatton to the West End for a Somerset Vase encounter.
Nailsea made thirteen changes due to unavailability and resting key players with one eye on two key league encounters in the coming weeks. Yatton arrived with a first choice pack, Half Back and Outside backs.
It was Yatton who rattled up four tries before the half time whistle with tries through Want, Williams & Bushell (2). Nailsea‘s only response was a try from prop Will Marley. Half time 7-26.
The second half was much the same with N&B getting tries through Jack McCormick; Josh Le Oudec and Sam Cooke with one conversion by Alex Jones. Yatton responded with more tries through Want, Williams & Richardson. Two conversions and two penalties made the full time score 22 - 47.
N&B now have the Combination Cup to focus on, as well as a promising league campaign.
