On Thursday 21 February, two of the Nailsea & Backwell Under 15’s squad represented Bristol Bears Academy in their away fixture against Worcester Warriors Academy.
Charlie Cox, Captain of the Ravens Under 15’s, and Archie Hayes (Scrum Half) both started for Bristol in a high intensity match.
Starting at Number 8, Cox contributed greatly through his strong carries and defensive effort, whilst Hayes kept the forward momentum going with his consistent and accurate passing from the base of the rucks. Cox rounded off his afternoon with a try scored from a lineout in the Warriors 22. The final score was 55-27 to Bristol Bears.
Well done to both Charlie and Archie for their efforts in this game, but also to the others from the Ravens Under 15’s squade who play for the Bears Academy - Adam Penny, Emile Swanson (both also in the Bristol PDG group), James Warren, Robbie Atherton and Jakob Hole who represent Nailsea & Backwell RFC in the Bristol Bears DPP.
It is great to the see the depth of talent in our young Ravens being recognised by Bristol Bears!
